The Royal Wedding

This is by far my favorite picture of the day!

I will be the first to admit I've been giddily awaiting this day. I've soaked up every second of it and am in love with every bit of this occasion. I even received my very own royal inspired ring for Christmas.

I love a good fairytale and these two kids are modern fairytale at its greatest. The dresses, the pomp and circumstance, the carriage, the kiss(es), and yes, even the hats! It's all just so fabulous.

It is kind of hard to see, but I have starch lines on my pants today! Is that what you call them?? I'm quite proud of this!

I have never taken the time to press lines into my pants. In all honesty, I have an aversion to the iron. I just don't take the time to press stuff. I have more important things to do with my time.

Last year I had a house keeper for a while and she did my laundry as well. I got spoiled with all of my pants being pressed and starched and with lines! This weekend I actually took the time to press some of my clothes and decided to press lines into these pants. I'm showing them off today!

End brat rant about materialistic things. :-)

Getting back into the full on blogging game is proving to be a little tougher than I thought! Things that I post on tumblr are pretty short and to the point, and I can post from my phone. I fully intended to take pictures at Easter with my family and totally forgot.

The long weekend was overdue. I was able to catch up on some much needed rest, took care of some errands, and got to model my new coral dress!

I saw this linked from an etsy site and think it pretty well describes the next chapter of life I'm about to enter. As the days near for my MBA program to start, the more I start to get antsy and feeling overwhelmed. My launch workshop, the kick off to the program, is two weeks from tomorrow. There is an assignment due that night, solving poverty, no big! As well as prerequisite tests for econ, finance, and accounting.

The night of Launch is also the last class night for my PHR group. I will obvs be missing that and the final exam. Then it's countdown to the exam! I have an amazing study group with two other girls. I think we've decided that once class is over we will continue to meet on Tuesday evenings as well as Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Oh just thinking about it all makes my head spin! ...it's going to be worth it.

Disclaimer: this blog is a work in progress

Well I guess it's about time to kick this off. So, my name is Megan. I'm a "twenty-something"...pushing the something more now than the twenty. I have a tumblr but I wanted a place to share more than the random stuff that I love to post over there. Getting used to this platform is a bit challenging.

I am going back to school to get my MBA at Concordia University Texas in Austin while working as an HR professional for a company I love. I did not blog through my undergrad and I really hate that I don't have those memories to look back on, so I wanted to make sure that I don't let another milestone in my life go by without being documented.

At the same time I am also studying for my PHR exam, which I take on May 28th. It overlaps four weeks with my first semester of MBA classes. To say that I'm nervous/anxious/overwhelmed by this is an understatement. I am also on the Board for an organization that I am passionate about. I have big goals and am taking action to achieve those. I also try to sell Scentsy on the side, but lately that's gotten pushed to the back burner of life.

Two years ago I bought my first house. I love having something of my own, but I am regularly overwhelmed by homeownership. Those are the days that I wish I had a man in my life, but with the schedule I keep, my energy is best focused on other aspects of life.

I have two wiener dogs, hence the blog name, Bella and Chloe. They are incredibly spoiled and the loves of my life. I spend a lot of time with my Gran. I lost both of my parents before the age of 21 and so I hang out with her quite often. She is currently going through chemo treatments for cervical and uterine cancer. We count our blessings everyday.

I love Mexican food, white wine, baking, manicures, Texas country music, anywhere I can be on the water, shopping, my iPhone, chunky jewelry, Austin, airbrush tanning, anything pink, ice cream, baseball, and being an Aggie.
